IEC 60748-1:2002 pdf download.Semiconductor devices -lntegrated circuits – Part 1: General.
4.2.2
microcircuit
electronic device that has a high circuit-element density and that is considered to be a single unit
11EV 521-10-02)
4.2.3
integrated circuit
microcircuit in which all or some of the circuit elements are inseparably associated and electrically Interconnected so that it is considered to be indivisible for the purpose of construction and commerce
(1EV 521-10-03)
NOTE 1 IEC TC 47 standards on semiconductor integrated circuits generally refer to integrated circuits that are designed as microcircuit..
NOTE 2 To further define the nature of an integrated circuit, additional qualifiers mat, be prelixed For example:
— single-chip integrated circuit:
– multi-chip integrat,d circuit;
— hIm-rum integrated CItCwt;
— thick-film integrated circuit;
— hybnd integrated circuit;
– hybhd semiconduclor integrated circuit.
4.2.4
semiconductor integrated circuit semiconductor device designed as an integrated circuit
(1EV 521-10-051
4.2.5
single-chip integrated circuit
semiconductor integrated circuit containing only a single chip (die)
NOTE Th. use of Iii. term nionolithic semiconductor integrated circult is deprecated
4.2.6
multi-chip integrated circuit
semiconductor integrated circuit containing two or more chips
(1EV 521-10-10)
NOTE The use of lb. term polylrthic semiconductor integrated circuit is deprecated
4.2.7
film integrated circuit
integrated circuit whose circuit elements, including the interconnections, are film elements formed on the surface of an insulating substrate
NOTE The film element. may be active or passive
(1EV 521.10-061
4.2.8
hybrid integrated circuit
integrated circuit formed by a combination of two or more integrated components or discrete components or both
NOTE To identify a specific type of hybrid integrated circuit, additional qualifiers (for example, film) should be prefixed and a sp.ciric definition should be provided.

4.5.5
thin-film integrated circuit
film integrated circuit whose circuit elements are thin-film elements
NOTE Usually, the film elements are formed by vacuum deposition techniques, possibly supplemented by other deposition techniques
4.5.6
thick-film integrated circuit
film integrated circuit whose circuit elements are thick-film elements
5 Letter symbols
5.1 BasIc letters
Only the clauses and subclauses referring to the basic letters of chapter V of IEC 60747-1 are applicable.
5.2 Subscripts for digital integrated circuits
5.2.1 Voltages and currents
5.2.1.1 First subscript
It indicates the terminal at which the electrical quantity is measured.
The type of terminal is identified by one of the following symbols:
NOTE 1 The above list is not exhaustive.
NOTE 2 At present, for the supply terminal, double subscripts are used and also the subscript letters S or P. but no preference can be given at the present time.
5.2.1.2 Second subscript
It indicates the range of levels within which the voltage at the terminal lies.
H denotes the most positive range of levels
L denotes the least positive range of levels
NOTE This convention applies whether the basic letter indicates voltage or whether it indicates current.
5.2.1.3 ThIrd subscript (when required)
It indicates a defined value of the electrical quantity denoted by the basic letter. The preferred system is.
