IEEE 1847-2019 pdf download.IEEE Recommended Practice for Common Framework of Location Services for Healthcare.
location quality of service: Ability of positioning infrastructure to maintain location coverage over time. See a/so: positioning infrastructure; location coverage.
location service: Software that provides subject-location and other associated information to location-enabled applications. See also: subject-location; location-enabled applications.
location symbolic hierarchy: Location naming symbolic convention organization containing multiple levels. See also: location naming symbolic convention.
location system of record: Authoritative source for location data including naming, maps, and attributes. See also: location.
non-clinical: Healthcare operational, support, or administrative processes not directly related to patient care. contrast: clinical.
position: Place estimated in context of a specific positioning infrastructure. See also: positioning infrastructure.
positioning behavior: Defines a specific positioning communication as locatable-initiated or positioninginfrastructure-initiated. See also: locatable; positioning infrastructure.
positioning computation: Computational process to estimate position of the locatable and typically includes one or more positioning infrastructure reference points. See also: locatable.
positioning engine: Process that estimates locatable-position. See also: locatable-position.
positioning infrastructure: Devices that sense andlor activate locatables and typically provide reference points. See also: locatable.
positioning infrastructure model: Representation of positions that allows estimation of locatable-position that optionally requires configuration and calibration. See also: position; positioning infrastructure; locatable-position.
positioning infrastructure scope: Scale of positioning infrastructure (e.g., local indoor, local outdoor, global). See also: positioning infrastructure.
positioning method: Manner in which positioning infrastructure and positioning engine are designed to report subject-location. See also: association positioning method: chokepoints positioning method; positioning infrastructure; positioning engine; precisely positioning method; presence-based positioning method; room positioning method; subject-location; sub-room positioning method.
positioning process ownership: Level of architecture where locatable-position estimation is performed, locatable-performed or remote-performed. See also: locatable-position.
positioning ranging technique: Process that estimates distance between a locatable and positioning infrastructure using signal characteristics (e.g., time difference of arrival). See also. locatable; positioning infrastructure.
positioning reconciliation: Process for determining the priority and merging of multiple conflicting inputs for position estimation. See also: position.
positioning technology: Communication medium between locatable and positioning infrastructure used for estimating position (e.g. Wi-Fi, infrared, ultrasound). See also: locatable; positioning infrastructure: position.
positioning transformations: Data manipulations of position (e.g., filtering, averaging, normalization). See also: position.
position-location mapping: Translation data that associates a position to a particular location. See also:
position; location.
precisely positioning method: Subject-location reported as a pinpointed location. See also: positioning method.
precision: Measured level that yields consistent results when repeated (random error). See also:
subject-location.
presence-based positioning method: Subject-location reported as present in a given area. See also: area:
positioning method.
refresh rate: Event-driven or programmable update frequency for positioning processes within a given system layer.
room positioning method: Subject-location reported as present in a specific room. See also: positioning method.
rule: Conditional logic that if met produces an action. See also: action.
service method: Procedure that provides data on request and or by streaming data (e.g., push/pull, publish! subscribe).
subject: Entity of interest.
NOTE—Examples include item, person, and location as follows:
item: Physical tangible object.
Asset: Durable item.
Consumable: Disposable item. person: Human being.
Staff: Person providing care or supporting care delivery.
Patient: Person receiving care.
Inpatient: Admitted patient.
Outpatient: Non-admitted patient.
Visitor: Person temporarily on site that is not a Stafior Patient. location: See: location.
subject-location: Location of a subject at a specified time. See also: location; subject.
